This is my latest illustration commission for a friend who has started up her own Arts Magazine for Illustrators/Photographers/Artist/Graphic Designers.
Inspired by the theme 'passion' and the equally inspirational song 'Sweet nothing' by Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine.
Will provide more info soon! This is going to be the initial cover design until the first issue (which will be decided upon with a cover design competition) is officiated. This cover is to be used as initial 'dummy cover' until that happens.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactLove the graduated tones and especially the epic textured fabulously rendered hair. The composition rocks too, seemingly symmetrical but actually off kilter. Unusual colour way, I have observed that's kind of your thing, that palette, hints at warmth, humanity and 'gore' but gently so, mmmm loving it, envying your skills and talent. Content wise I have no idea what the back story is and the reason she is eating her heart', is it hers? I will have to listen to the music that inspired the drawing to think it through. I find the length of her right arm a bit ambiguous due to the hair covering it, but if it was perfectly visible it'd be too perfect. This is a beautiful illustration.
